well, I saw this film in the International Film Festival of Sitges (Spain). I found it boring boring boring... It was an horror movie or a romantic movie or..what? What the hell was doing Asano there?

[there is a short shot that could have been directly plundered from the opening credits of the movie “Kwaidan” – the part where the black ink is sinking into the pink liquid. Did anyone notice this? Is there some meaning?]---> I agree, but.. the rest of the film was a fake!

Finally got to see the movie. Waited until after seeing it to read the Midnight Eye review. Have to admit, the review really helped me see a lot deeper into this film (I guess I tend to just stare at Tsukamoto's films, but what does he expect? :-) )

One tiny detail I have not seen mentioned. At least for the DVD I watched, in the very beginning, there is a short shot that could have been directly plundered from the opening credits of the movie "Kwaidan" -- the part where the black ink is sinking into the pink liquid. Did anyone notice this? Is there some meaning? Or is it just an homage to that beautiful piece of art film (specifically the opening credits, which I admit I have watched as a separate "film" over and over again myself)?

...but it sounds really interesting.
So far I've only seen one movie from Shinya Tsukamoto, that was Gemini and I really liked his style.

your site is awsome, really. I just found my way here a couple of minutes ago and still have to take a good look around here, but the site is already saved in my favs.

I haven't heard of that movie before (shame on me as I'm a Asano fan >.<) but it sounds really interesting.
